Privacy Policy
This policy explains how CutReply collects, uses, and stores account, project, and review data. Before using the service, make sure you have the right to share the relevant videos and client information.
What we store
Editor accounts include sign-in identity, email, display name, workspace, and login sessions. Projects store titles, client names, uploaded videos, deadlines, revisions, and review status.
When clients submit feedback, we store the name they enter, comment text, timecode, resolution state, vector coordinates for frame annotations, and any images, files, or voice notes they choose to attach. The microphone is used only after the client starts recording and grants permission. Do not include unnecessary sensitive data in comments or attachments.
Where videos are stored
Videos you select are uploaded directly to CutReply's video processing and storage provider, transcoded for playback across devices, and delivered with short-lived private playback tokens to authorised editors or clients holding the review link.
A client review link may still be forwarded by its holder. Share it only with intended people and keep the original file; CutReply should not be your only backup.
How data is used and service providers
Data is used to authenticate users, create and share review pages, save feedback and attachments, enforce usage limits, address security issues, and manage accounts and subscriptions.
To provide these features, CutReply may use identity, hosting, database, object storage, video playback, and payment service providers. Each provider processes the information needed to deliver its service under its own privacy policy.
Minimal usage analytics
When a signed-in editor opens the workspace, we record the workspace identifier and the UTC date of that activity. The time is normalised to 00:00 for that date, so the precise opening time is not stored. This is used only to understand workspace usage, monitor service reliability, and plan capacity. The record does not include an IP address, browser details, page URL, project content, or client comments. We keep no more than one record per workspace per day.
This daily activity record is retained for no more than 13 months and is then automatically deleted. Workspace deletion and valid deletion requests are also handled in accordance with applicable law.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
Projects remain until an editor deletes them; permanently removing a project from Recently Deleted removes its revisions, comments, and attachments. Usage-ledger events may remain after deletion to prevent repeated free-quota resets.
Requests to access, correct, or delete personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable law. Do not include unnecessary confidential or sensitive information in project names, client names, or feedback.
